Military Emblems

Hey Gang, lets talk about plaques and emblems. I do not manufacture bronze Plaques or Emblems but there are a few companies I have found that do an awesome job.

The tables I design were meant to have Bronze Plaques in the center, This look sets off the artwork dramatically, unfortunately the plaques are expensive as you can imagine and run anywere from 200 to 500 dollars.

I do however offer a wooden version of your Military Branch Emblem which I do cnc carve and looks exemplary. I would be more than happy to build for you if you choose to go this way. My goal is to get you the best looking commemorative possible.

The Companies I found who can offer you the best looking products are:

Plaques and Letters . com

A Bronze Plaque . com

All of the products are custom made, so naturally there will be a time period where building your item takes place. All of the product pages have a limited number of items in stock. This number is the amount of products I can do in a months time. Once the product is out of stock, no more orders will be taken for the month. Construction on that series will begin and 4 weeks later your order will be shipped.

My name is Ralph Curtis; Military Cuts is my company which started in 2010. My concept for a Commemorative Table actually came about when I got out of the Marine Corps in the 1980’s.

My original idea was to build a coffee table with a Bandoleer of 7.62 rounds set in the center, as a young Marine what could be more bad-ass! Needless to say Life happened and I never got to build that table.

My Father was the one who introduced me to wood working in the 70's,  he owned a small company building decorative wood paneling for homes and businesses and as a dutiful son I helped him after school and during the summers. After the Marine Corps, I worked with my Father again on Cape Cod building everything from outdoor decks to fully finished basements, guess you could say I was meant to be a wood craftsmen, who would have thought.

In 2010 after the passing of my Father, I built a shadowbox for his WWII ribbons and medals.  When I finished his Shadowbox, the idea of my “commemorative table” reemerged, it just popped into my head. Later that year I built a few commemorative items for some Veteran buddies of mine who suggested that I build these unique items for other military folk, and so Military Cuts was born, Isn't that usually how it happens?

The Company

The original custom made commemorative table company.

These unique military gift ideas are specifically developed for present day and former military personal. My company focus is on the manufacture of “custom made” hard wood :coffee tables, living space tables, Wall Units and unique commemoratives for your office, den and living room.

These hardwood products are original designs, brought to life and hand crafted to reflect and honor your individual commitment to our great nation. Each item will be as original as the owner’s active service and will stand as a reminder of the pride and dedication to your Military Branch.

Hardwood Selection

You are only going to get the best choice of hardwood from me, we deserve it. . . . . When you place an order I will hand-pick your wood specifically, meaning it doesn't come generically off of a giant pallet. The wood is chosen from some of the best Mills in The U.S. and Canada. In the case of my solid wood slabs, the Mills I use are located in Massachusetts and Quebec.

Because the wood is hand picked there isn't a large inventory in my shop, this means my wood turn over is fairly constant and only good quality pieces are on hand for use. I am not a large operation folks, just me, in a small wood shop putting out quality hardwood items.

Layout Information

The engraving of your Military Information is an important part of the art work. Naturally this is what separates your commemorative from the rest. You must register on the site in order for me to collect your engraving information.

The main components of the engravings are your name, rank and years of service at the top, to the left of the "Emblem" space is a list of training and deployment bases. To the right of the "Emblem" space is a list of operation and or engagements. The upper right hand corner is set for your division emblem and division name.

There are 2 styles of Collectibles, a Service Table for those who served during peace time and a Campaign Table for those who served during War.
